This scholarship is awarded in memory of John “Bear” Currier, a proud alumnus of Newburyport High School whose legacy continues to inspire future generations of Clippers. Established to honor his connection to the program and community, the scholarship is presented annually to a graduating Newburyport High School baseball student-athlete who plans to continue his education. It recognizes not only achievement on the field, but also dedication, character, leadership, and pride in representing Newburyport Baseball.
